Hanging chair with stand organic cotton – LA SIESTA Udine

The Udine is a hanging chair that comes with its own stand. No ceiling hook, no drilling – just set it up and sit down. With a 92 × 105 cm footprint, it also fits on larger balconies.

Who it’s for

Supports up to 130 kg. The seat is 115 cm wide and 180 cm long – enough to lie down in, not just sit. It fits children and adults alike. Plan for an area of about 110 × 110 cm and 163 cm in height, plus 75 cm of clearance around it.

What you'll notice in daily use

• The frame is height-adjustable in three positions. The chair hangs exactly how you need it.
• The chair can be unhooked in one move – for washing or when you need the space.
• Can be used indoors or outdoors. The eucalyptus wood is made for the outdoors and can stay outside throughout the season.
• The fabric section can be machine washed at 30 degrees if you tie the suspension cords together beforehand.
• At 14.7 kg, it can be moved around as the sun shifts. Even so, it remains a piece of furniture.

Material and craftsmanship

The seat is made of GOTS-certified organic cotton and is hand-woven in Colombia. 104 suspension cords distribute weight evenly – this is why a hanging chair feels comfortable and lasts a long time. The frame is made of FSC-certified eucalyptus, the screws are stainless steel, and the hooks are aluminum. Emissions from the production and transport of the seat are offset via a ClimatePartner project.

Safety and mandatory information

Load capacity 130 kg. Place the frame on a level, solid surface – on soft or damp ground, the feet will sink in and the chair will wobble. Ensure that it swings freely and does not hit anything. Children should only swing under supervision.
