Double Hammock Organic Cotton – LA SIESTA Modesta

The double-size Modesta is a classic organic cotton fabric hammock – wide enough for two people to lie side by side or for a parent with a child.

Who it is for

Load capacity up to 160 kg. The lying surface measures 160 × 230 cm, and the total length is 350 cm. You need at least 310 cm of distance between the two suspension points and a height of 155 cm – check this before you order.

What you notice in everyday use

• Without a spreader bar, the fabric wraps around the body. As a result, two people lie closer together than in a spreader bar hammock.
• Lie in it diagonally, not lengthwise. This opens up the lying surface and supports the back.
• At 1.8 kg, it is still quick to take down and store away.
• Washable at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle; tie the suspension cords together beforehand.
• Cotton does not like constant moisture. Take it down outdoors overnight.

Material and craftsmanship

100 percent organic cotton, GOTS-certified, fabric density 340 g/m². Hand-woven and knotted in Colombia. Reinforced selvages due to double weft threads.

What's included

The hammock with suspension cords. Ropes, hooks, and a stand are not included. Suitable options include CasaMount, TreeMount, or a stand such as the Maera in the double size.

Safety and mandatory information

Load capacity 160 kg. Before each use, check whether the tree, wall, or post can support the weight – when two people use it, significantly more force is applied to the suspension. The hammock must swing freely and must not drag on the ground. Only allow children in under supervision.
